Invent…Create!

Some years ago, I shared on the Elohim factor emphasizing God’s creativity and potency. I would encourage you to review the materials on the two-part journal, as they will serve as a good foundation for the word herein.

I have had the privilege to visit some places of interest and admire the creativity of others – from the Big Ben in the city of London to the make-up artist who showcases her skills on YouTube. There is no basis for comparison. While some have to work with fabrics and others with concretes – a genius is a genius! They just have different playing fields.

The many inventions of today take root in the ultimate source of power and creation –God! Jesus in speaking to the disciples said:

“I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father”. John 14:12.

I understand from the little I have read from scripture that each time God was about to do something, he first said something:

  • Following the war in heaven and the demotion of satan and his accomplices, the world was beset with nothingness, emptiness, darkness and was extremely bottomless. The Lord All powerful had just one response: Let there be light!
  • The Pharaoh of ancient Egypt was a very powerful man both politically and religiously. Titled ‘Lord of the Two Lands’ and ‘Priest of Every Temple’, he overstepped his boundaries with God’s people. In no uncertain terms, the Lord of Lords and the Priest that lives forever issued a command: Let my people go!
  • Jesus dialoguing with the Pharisees on matters regarding the temple was asked a question about healing on the Sabbath. Picking a disabled man from their midst to model his answer, The Lord of the Sabbath said: Stretch forth your hands!
  • As most invited guests do, Jesus and his disciples sat quietly in their designated area till he was alerted about the problem back-stage. The wedding hosts had run out of wine and the guests were about leaving their party. When the time was right for heaven to reset the ambiance in the room, the Lord of all instructed the disciples: Fill up the Jars!

Friend, what are you saying? I may not be privy to what’s going on in your world right now but I dare you release some words into the atmosphere! Let there be peace, joy, healing, abundance, increase, love, happiness. Speak over your church, job, home, spouse, children, loved ones, friends and enemies! Say something!

Another thing I have learned is that God always backed his words with actions:

  • Having spoken the initial light into being, God made 2 great lights – the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars
  • To facilitate the release of his people from captivity, God prepared and sent Moses and Aaron to Egypt. When Pharaoh would not cooperate, he unleashed the 10 plagues until the obstinate king gave in.
  • I would really like to give you some facts as to what God did to restore the withered hands and turn the water into wine. Here’s where I agree with Paul when he said:

His ways are past finding out. Romans 11:33c

The Psalmist by inspiration enjoined:

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth their entire host… For He commanded and they were created…  For He spoke and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast… He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. Psalm 33:6; 148:5b; 33:9; 147:15

God speaking through Isaiah stated:

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours. As the rain and snow come down from heaven and stay upon the ground to water the earth, and cause the grain to grow and to produce seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry, so also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it. Isaiah 55:9-11

Friend, there is creative power in the word! Quit trying to overanalyze things and step out in faith.  I understand you are uncompromisingly immaculate and have an excellent spirit but how long are you going to delay and waver between opinions? You have dwelt on that mount too long! You have stayed on that job too long? You have been childless too long. You have desired that miracle too long. Get moving. Head for the next hill! Do something!

Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: Yet you have made him a little lower than God…And You crown him with glory and majesty! I have said you are gods’ I said, “You are gods, and all of you are sons of the Most High. 7″Nevertheless you will die like men and fall like any one of the princes.” John 10:34, Psalm 82:5-7

If indeed we are gods, we must be sure to live out our true potentials by utilizing our creative capabilities. Refuse to die like a mere man when you have the super-abundant life of God. You are not ordinary or mediocre rather in a class beyond dispute and restraint. Made a little lower than Elohim – Big deal! Don’t take it lightly and never underestimate your position and power. No matter what life throws at you, determine you will not give up the ghost just like that! While we’re on this, speak into the atmosphere:   I will not die like a mere man!

The enemy will always try you in the area of your strength, he knew God was light but he pre – creation set darkness on the face of the earth. Jesus was all powerful but that didn’t stop the devil from tempting him. How about Job? A good man who feared God and stayed away from evil. When men showed up to worship, Satan showed up to impeach. You are not different. As a matter of fact, the areas where you are seemingly weak today are your strongest spots. It doesn’t matter if the enemy has a hand in your present situation, it will turn in your favour!  You will come out better and with more!

Isaac wasn’t just a well-digger but a well-owner. The enemy can conspire and contend all he wants but that won’t stop your Rehoboth! Not only will God enlarge your territory, he will prosper and make you fruitful!

Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby.  Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” God says so! “Clear lots of ground for your tents!  Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations;   you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid—you’re not going to be embarrassed.  Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory. Isaiah 54:1-4

I want you to take note of the verbs and elicited actions in the above passage.  Sing… fill… clear… make… spread… think … use…drive, etc. I adjure you to reflect, project and implement as you deem fit.

It’s not enough to have faith. Your faith must have corresponding actions and outputs – substances and evidences. Decide this moment that 2017 will launch the best of your ideas, inventions and handiwork.

In the beginning, God created, made, produced. He brought different things to existence and manifested his ingenuity by causing the land to produce and seeds to yield plants, livestock and human beings alike, produced after their kind.

Genesis 1:31a: God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

Because you have been equipped to do greater works, your invention will stand head and shoulder above your contemporaries. Excellence will be your trademark. Goodness will surround you.

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Genesis 2:1-3

I pray over you the grace for completion this year. I also release the finisher anointing over you. God finished what he started and so will you. Finally, as God took some time to set apart his rest day and rest from all his work, over you and yours, I speak  rest on every side.

 Go ahead and create! Invent!!
